Week 14 of the college football season had a lot of things going on. There were fights in the game, postgame brawls, rivals planting their flags on the opponents' field, and even a melee between Ohio State and Michigan that involved pepper spray.
After the madness settled down, the conversation about the College Football Playoff kicked back up.
The newest set of rankings will be released on Tuesday night, and there are still the conference title games to be played. The projections and predictions will be something to watch over the next two weeks until the conference title games are played and the picture is a bit more clear.
While many analysts discussed the CFP, David Pollack gave his College Football Playoff predictions with a post on X.
Pollack had nine teams labeled as IN: Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, SMU, and Indiana.
Pollack also put in the winner of the non-Power 4 as well as the winner of the Iowa State-Arizona State Big 12 title game.
Pollack also had SMU as part of his IN selections, meaning the Mustangs will defeat the Clemson Tigers in the ACC title game.
That would leave one spot to be filled by Miami, Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
Miami's Week 14 loss to Syracuse crushed its ACC title game hopes and left a lot of questions about its potential inclusion in the field.
On the other hand, each of Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina have three losses on the year as the SEC questions have been brought up time and time again.
Nonetheless, Pollack feels strongly about nine teams in the field, and the Power 4 winner and Big 12 winner will automatically get into the field.
All in all, it will be an interesting discussion to have for the next two weeks.
